I had to post this picture of Matt's huge Walleye caught on Batchawana Bay, Canada!
Also, I am reading a book entitled, There is no me without you, by Melissa Fay Greene.
If you are at all interested in Ethiopia, the world AIDS epidemic, are adopting from any African country or want to be deeply touched by one women's story read this book. I think it is life changing.

Yeah for Matt's Appointment
We finally got word today Matt has his Fingerprinting appt. on July 23rd. Wish we didn't have to wait so long, but when you reschedule you are at their mercy. Congratulations to those friends who are having their dossier sent to Ethiopia. You guys are very fortunate and now wait to receive word of your little one!
Isaac loves playing outside and enjoyed his time with Grandma and Grandpa.
Off to Canada later this week for fun in the water and lots of fishing.

Fun at Papa and Grandma's
As you can see Isaac picked up his first Mouse! He ran into the house to show my parents. Lots of fun at Grandma and Grandpa's house. We went boating twice, rode the gator and sat in the deer blind. We even got to see a mom and baby deer. So much fun!

Flower

Today Isaac has been telling us he would like to have a sister like our neighbor girl, and name her Flower. It is so sweet. I told him to talk to God about it because he decides. He told me, "I don't talk loud so maybe you should ask." He also said, "I have to lift my head way up so I can talk to him." Isn't it cute how little ones think they need to pray? I told him God would hear you even if you are quiet or laying down. He knows our thoughts in our head. I remember praying for a little brother for YEARS. And I have the best brother in the world!! Here is my brother and Isaac, he helps me a lot!
New referrals are coming in through Bethany, so wonderful for the waiting families.
I have my fingerprints taken tomorrow, one step closer.

Adopting Friends Journal
Today I received our adopting friends journal. There are around 11 of us included. We send the journal to each other and write notes, bible verses ect... and pass it on. Isaac got some special stickers for Kim in PA. today, Thanks Kim!
It is such a blessing to share with other moms our journey.
Here is a poem/saying by Benjamin Malachi Franklin (1882-1965)
My life is but a weaving between my Lord and me,
I cannot choose the colors He worketh steadily.
Oft times He weaveth sorrow, and I in foolish pride forget He sees the upper but I the under side.
Not till the loom is silent and the shuttles cease to fly, Shall God unroll the canvas and explain the reason why.
The dark threads are as needed in the Weaver's skillful hand, as threads of gold and silver in the pattern life has planned.
